It’s Christmas Tree time! I’ve showed you small ornaments so far but today we delve into the Christmas Tree and I’m going to focus this year on our newest Christmas Tree. I’ve mentioned, Viking Trader on Tuesday and today they get mentioned again because I found an Aluminum Tree there that’s magnificent.

The blue hutch was just asking for something silvery this year
I’ve seen them in magazines but I had never personally seen one. Well I take that back, I think they have one at Fenton Historical Center. Anyway, Gale had this tree marked for $7.00 in her going out of business sale. I wasn’t sure if I wanted it because I wasn’t sure how the 1950′s-1960′s would mesh with my collection. Luckily, my husband Bruce convinced me to get it. Now the value of the tree is so much worth the $7.00 which I realized when I came home and put it together. Ebay has them as of today from 3.99 all the way up to 899.00. That’s right ladies and gentlemen perfect condition and in it’s box. I’m going to have to give something extra in Gale’s stocking this year. I here her sale is 50% off now….The tree is suppose to be accompanied with a color wheel light system… I think that would be a little too much for me. I’ll just take the silver sparkle.

The Aluminum Christmas Tree was manufactured in the late 1950′s and was popular in the 1960′s. Ours is a 4 foot one with pom pom branches.

Another green I love. The best part of this… I got this one in Frewsburg. She said anyone who buys a Christmas Bulb in the hot of August can have it for free. Bonus:)

I decided to decorate the tree with my antique blue and green ornaments.

Your tree is gorgeous! I found your blog through Southern Hospitality's vignette link up and I am so glad that I did! I live in Jamestown and really had no idea (even after much searching) that there were so many antique stores in the area. I will have to stop in and visit this store soon
.
We're not an antique store… We're just a blog that talks antiques:) My husband gave me grief that I have so many antiques I could have a store… I have a web and graphic design studio and just have this site as a little hobby.
I did see that you aren't actually a store
. But your list of stores has been really helpful! Cute name anyhow!
I love the tree! Hubby won't let me get any of the off colored trees for the house. Maybe next year I'll get a small one for my craft room. I was so sad to see that VT was going out of business when we were there for vacation this fall. It seems like it's been there forever. Just one more thing that disappeared after I moved away, like Evan's Skateland, etc, etc.
